Police say female looking from Aurora window shot, wounded


AURORA | Police say an unidentified female was shot and wounded some time late Sunday or early Monday while looking out a window in her home after hearing what she thought was fireworks, Aurora police said in a tweet.

The victim, whose age was not released, was rushed from where she was shot at 17600 E. Eastman Place to a nearby hospital. Officials said her condition is stable. Police tweeted about the shooting at about 4 a.m. Monday but did not detail when the shooting occured.

Police said they have no suspect information and continue to investigate.

The city has logged numerous shootings in the past two weeks, including a incident Friday where five people were shot.
