A-Town All-Stars Girls Game makes its debut March 18 at Cherokee Trail
BRE HILL
School: Hinkley High School
Year: Senior
Height: 5-foot-3
2016-17 averages: 13.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.2 steals, 1.6 assists per game

Season highlights: With a roster that returned a significant amount of experience, the Hinkley girls basketball team turned in a solid 2016-17 season, upping its win total from six the previous season to nine, the most wins for the program since the 2008-09 campaign. Coach Harry Sledge had a fairly tight rotation for the Thunderbirds, but senior Bre Hill spent the majority of each game on the floor given her important role. The 5-foot-3 guard had the ball in her hands often and became quite adept at getting to the basket on the offense end, which she used to finish as the team’s leading scorer at 13.6 points per game, close to double her average of 7.7 from 2015-16. Hill — who scored in double figures 16 times in 20 games — also was good for 3.4 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 1.6 assists per game as she earned a nod on the All-EMAC first team. She will play on Team East in the inaugural A-Town All-Star Girls Game.
