DEAR EDITOR: I don’t want to own a gun, but do support the second amendment, also some others you seem to be willing to forget.
Everyone who supports gun rights is not as you paint them. Yes there are as in any group people who step over the line. This does not mean we should away the rights of everyone. Also your use of endless river of people killed by gun violence is silly. 320 million people in this country and how many have been killed by guns.
Of course any is too many, but to call the number killed “an endless river” is really overkill. Try to think when you write, and not act from emotion.
Also you say this law by design usurps the gun rights of a mentally ill person and takes their goddamned guns away from them before they kill themselves or others. The guns are taken away even before it has been proven these people are mentally ill. This means they have the burden of proof.
I can’t speak to the gun grabbing talk, don’t have an opinion on that.
