AURORA | A woman who was found stabbed Sunday night, May 15, in an Aurora parking lot has died of her wound, Aurora police confirmed Monday morning.
According to APD spokeswoman Crystal McCoy, police were called to the parking lot of the Burlington Coat Factory store at 1200 S. Abilene St. for a welfare check. They found a woman with a life-threatening stab wound in her neck.
The victim died shortly after being taken to a local hospital, and police are investigating the death as a homicide. The victim has not been identified pending positive identification by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office and notification of next of kin.
Aurora police said Monday morning that there is no suspect information at this time. The Major Crimes Unit is investigating the case.
