AURORA | Two people were shot and injured early Saturday in or near a car in an east-central Aurora apartment parking lot, according to Aurora police.
Officers were called to Robinwood Condos in the 18100 block of East Ohio Drive just after midnight after reports of a shooting there.
“When officers arrived, they helped two patients transport to an area hospital with gunshot wounds,” Aurora police spokesperson Katie Fisher said in a statement. “A vehicle in the parking lot was found to be the crime scene, with numerous spent casings.”
A nearby condo was also struck with gunfire, police said.
“One firearm was recovered,” Fisher said. “At this time, there is no suspect information to share.”
Injuries sustained by the two victims were not expected to be life threatening, police said.
