AURORA | An unidentified man was seriously injured early Sunday at a north-Aurora apartment parking lot after being shot during a dispute, police said.

Officers were called to Fitzsimons Junction Apartments at East 20th Avenue and Billings Street at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday after reports of a shooting there, according to Aurora police spokesperson Gabby Easterwoord.

“Once they arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim with a life-threatening gunshot wound,” Easterwood said in a statement. “The victim was immediately transported to the hospital where he is now in stable condition.”

A preliminary investigation showed that the man and an unidentified shooting suspects were in an argument at the parking lot when the shooting occurred.

“No arrests have been made and there is no suspect information to be released,” Easterwood said.

Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
