AURORA | Adams County prosecutors have charged an 18-year-old man with first-degree murder after they say he gunned down a 14-year-old boy last week in north Aurora.
James Jason Tobias Lee is also charged with attempted murder and second-degree assault for wounding a 17-year-old boy in the Sept. 2 shooting, prosecutors said.
According to prosecutors, Lee shot and killed Marcell Jay Johnson outside the Fitzsimons Apartments at 1568 Nome St. Police arrested Lee the next morning and he has been held in the Adams County Jail without bond since.
Lee is due in court Thursday morning to be advised of the charges.
