AURORA | Aurora Democratic Congressperson Jason Crow has scheduled a telephone town hall meeting for constituents May 15 and plans to address constituent concerns and answer questions live, his staff announced Wednesday.
Crow, in his fourth term, has made numerous recent appearances on national news shows, frequently criticizing Trump’s second presidency on several fronts, especially regarding the economy, trade war and proposed cuts to Medicaid.
The New York Times last month featured a story about Crow and other Democrats, referring to Crow as “a Democrat who may just hold the key to his party winning back the House in 2026.”
The 6th Congressional District House representative has been a vocal critic of Republican members of Congress refusing to hold public meetings since Trump’s election, prompting constituents in some GOP strongholds to hold “empty chair” town halls.
“Throughout his time in Congress, Congressman Crow has made it a priority to speak directly with Coloradans,” Crow spokesperson Grace Wright. “Earlier this year, he held an in-person town hall event at Aurora’s Hinkley High School with more than 1,300 Coloradans in attendance.”
Crow was mentioned recently as a likely contender for appointment to a potentially vacant Senate seat for Colorado should current Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet win the governor’s race in 2026. Bennet announced he would enter the governor’s race, but keep his Senate seat and appoint his replacement should he win.
The telephone town hall is scheduled 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Residents can register to participate, or the event will be livestreamed on Crow’s congressional website and select social media channels for the public to observe.
To register to participate in the telephone town call, go to https://crow.house.gov/live and complete the registration form. The event will also be live-streamed at the same web location. The participation form must be completed by 4 p.m. the day of the event in order to be included. Registration is not necessary just to observe.
