BOULDER, Colo. | More young people are looking to attend the University of Colorado, with the Boulder campus receiving 10 percent more applications this year than last.

The Daily Camera reports (https://bit.ly/1njtbhk ) that the university has seen five straight years of increasing application numbers. This year, CU received 33,661 freshman applications. In-state applications increased 3 percent, out-of-state applications increased 12 percent and international applications increased 15 percent compared to 2015.

CU-Boulder Director of Admissions Kevin MacLennan says the campus wants to keep its next freshman class at about 6,300 students.
