AURORA | An elderly unidentified woman passenger was killed in a two-car crash Friday in west central Aurora, injuring another man involved in the collision.
Police said an investigation so far revealed that the deceased woman and the man, both 86, were westbound on East Eighth Avenue at about noon in a Honda Accord when the crash occurred. Police said the man was driving the Honda and was attempting to turn left onto Havana Street.
The Honda was struck by an oncoming Toyota Camry.
Both of the occupants of the Honda were hospitalized, and the woman later died from injuries sustained in the crash, police said.
Police did not report whether the other driver was injured, nor who was likely at fault in the crash.
Police said the crash marked the 10th Aurora traffic fatality this year.

Were seat-belts being worn?
In EMS I have seen the benefits of seat-belt use.
Glad that she had a long life.
