DEL NORTE, Colo. | Jury selection begins Wednesday in Del Norte in the trial of double homicide suspect Daniel Bessey.
The Alamosa Valley Courier reports (hope.ly/1pTJKAM) that jury selection was moved to the Knights of Columbus hall in Del Norte to accommodate more people.
Bessey is charged with murder in the 2012 deaths of 54-year-old elementary school custodian John Salazar and 29-year-old Sarah Beasley, who shared a home with Salazar.
Prosecutors say Bessey had once been in a relationship with Beasley and was living in Saguache, south of Monte Vista, at the time of the shootings.
Bessey was arrested last year in Oklahoma.
