AURORA | One man was killed and another hurt in a double stabbing early Sunday morning at an Aurora house party, police said.

The incident happened at about 1 a.m. at a home in the 16100 block of East Brunswick Drive.

Police responded to the home, which is near East Yale Avenue and South Chambers Road, on a report of a fight at a house party. Police said they saw people fleeing the house on foot and in vehicles, but officers did not find any victims.

While police investigated, they “received information that two adult males were being treated at a local hospital for stab wound injuries,” police said in a statement.

One of the men later died and the other is expected to survive.

Investigators said those two men were involved in the altercation at the party on Brunswick.

Detectives from the department’s Major Crimes/Homicide Unit are investigating.

No details about any potential suspect nor names of the victims have been released.
