Arapahoe County’s chief tax collector is running unopposed this Election Day.
Republican Sue Sandstrom, an accountant and former Aurora City Council member, is poised to enter her third term as the Arapahoe County Teasurer, a position she’s held since first being elected in 2010.
The treasurer is charged with collecting, investing and disbursing tax funds across Arapahoe County, according to the county website.
Sandstrom has raised about $2,500 for the race, and has spent about $1,600 of that total.

Republican Sue Sandstrom is a certified public accountant and former Aurora City Council member. She is seeking her third and final term as treasurer.
She currently has about $2,800 on-hand thanks to carry-over funds she had leftover from previous elections, according to campaign finance records filed with the Secretary of State’s office.
There was a Democratic challenger in the race, Andrew Mullen, but he dropped out of contention in June, records show.
