AURORA | Police say road rage led to two seriously injured people March 28 when a motorcycle rider was forced off of I-225 by a driver in  a Chrysler Sebring, rolling both vehicles during the dispute.

Witnesses told police that the passenger in the Chrysler and driver of a motorcycle were having some kind dispute at about 5 p.m. Saturday as the motorcycle got onto northbound I-225 at East Iliff Avenue.

Police said the driver of the Chrysler was Daniell Marie Buffum, 26,  of Aurora. Her passenger was identified as Michael Christopher Hall, 25, of Aurora. The driver of the motorcycle was not identified.

At one point Buffum forced the motorcycle into the right shoulder of the highway while the dispute between Hall and motorcycle driver continued, police said.

Witnesses said Hall grabbed the steering wheel of the Chrysler, forcing it into the motorcycle. Both drivers lost control of their vehicles, and both the car and the motorcycle went off the road and rolled several times, police said.

The driver of motorcycle and Buffum were seriously injured, police said. Hall was not injured.

Police said Hall faces charges of first-degree assault and attempted homicide. He was being held in Arapahoe County jail in lieu of an undisclosed bail. Police have not yet determined what if any charges might be filed against Buffum.

  1. I’ve ridden motorcycles for years, bad idea to get into serious argument with someone driving a car, you will not win. I hope the perp gets the book thrown at him and the rider recovers.

    1. Second that. The “perp” deserves a few years in the joint to think about his bad choices.

  2. So the driver was already running the motorcycle off the road. She also deserves jail time. These two deserve each other… I hope they have a long couple of years writing letters to each other from jail.
