If you’ve ever been out to Byers, Colo. (and I’m guessing most of you haven’t) then you know about the 2.5 miles of paved paradise called High Plains Raceway.

But the track — far removed from Denver, even by track standards — comes and goes with nary a notice as it’s 17 miles off of Interstate 70 and a bazillion miles from Denver. (Actually, it’s around 30 minutes east of Denver, but it feels like an eternity).

But it’s good to see the track take center stage in Volvo’s newest S60 commercial. The track selection is no surprise considering K-Pax Racing, based in Denver, is featured prominently in the commercial.

It’s amazing how good a track between farms and cow pastures can look in high-def. Here’s hoping someone does the same with Colorado’s other great roads and tracks.
