GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. | Firefighters have made progress against a wildfire that broke out Tuesday in Mesa County.

Residents of nearly 550 homes near Molina were told to be prepared to evacuate but The Daily Sentinel (https://bit.ly/L8yYwu ) reported Wednesday that the warning has been lifted.

Another new wildfire near Craig remained active overnight but it’s not known how the Cedar Knob Fire is. The Craig Daily Press (https://bit.ly/L8y82H) reports that it was the seventh fire reported Tuesday in Moffat County.

The newspaper said fires were also reported near the Wyoming line as well as in the three corners area where the borders of Utah, Colorado and Wyoming meet.
