On Aug. 7, 2015, the 460th Civil Engineer Squadron worked on repairing a gas leak outside of Panther Den on Buckley Air Force Base. The gas leak caused a temporary re-route of traffic on the main road and closed Panther Den, the base community center, for part of the day.

These oustanding individuals ensured the safety of base personnel after isolating the gas line. Following the repair, they returned operations back to normal within four days. They also replaced the entire 250 feet of gas pipe, and continue to backfill the whole using approximately 70 tons of material.
