The public is invited to attend a neighborhood meeting regarding the Nine Mile Station Area Plan, which will address future commercial redevelopment and pedestrian and bicycle connections at the intersection of Parker Road and Interstate 225. The meeting is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 17 at the KeyBank Community Room, 3000 S. Peoria St.
Staff members with the city of Aurora’s Planning and Development Services department will provide an update on the Nine Mile Station Area Plan and the plan’s concepts, including the redevelopment direction presently being discussed for Regatta Plaza.
The Nine Mile bus and rail station opened in November 2006, and will function as an end-of-line station until mid-2014 when the I-225 line is extended to the Iliff station under construction starting this year. Featuring an RTD parking garage with 1,225 spaces, this station functions as a major Park-n-Ride destination.
