DENVER | Gov. John Hickenlooper and one of LinkedIn’s founders are announcing an employment initiative aimed at connecting workers to employers and job trainers.

The proposal is being described as a digital labor market. More details are being released Tuesday afternoon.

Joining Hickenlooper for the announcement will be LinkedIn co-founder Allen Blue, Markle Foundation President and CEO Zoe Baird, and Kaiser Senior Vice President Nancy Wollen.

In January, Hickenlooper announced the launch of a state website designed to connect employers to workers who have been unemployed for 6 months or more.
