DURANGO, Colo. | Several roads in the Durango area are back open after heavy rains caused mud, water and rock to block roadways on Friday.

The Durango Herald reports (https://tinyurl.com/hurdzwa ) one mudslide temporarily marooned people on a county road.

County officials are warning drivers to be careful the next few days, with more rain predicted.

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a flash-flood watch for Saturday afternoon and evening for most of southwest Colorado.
