There’s plenty of water to go around in Aurora this year.

Water supplies from now until April 2013 will be adequate and no additional water restrictions will be made, according to the 2012 Water Management Plan approved by Aurora City Council members on April 16.

Residents still have to abide by the three-day-per-week watering limitation because it’s a permanent water conservation measure.

Aurora’s water storage levels are higher than normal this year, at 120,000 acre feet as of March 29. That’s because the water runoff levels in 2011 were better than expected.

The Prairie Waters drought hardening project can also provide an additional 10,000 acre feet of water if needed, between this spring and next spring.
