GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. | The teen being held in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend allegedly told investigators that he shot her in Larimer County and then drove her body to his late grandfather’s unoccupied home in Collbran.
Eighteen-year-old Tanner Flores was arrested Friday in ranching community about 300 miles from where he allegedly said he shot 18-year-old Ashley Doolittle. The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel (https://bit.ly/24OuVho), citing court documents, reports that Flores said he shot her twice because he was angry with her.
Flores’ father told a deputy that his .22-caliber revolver was missing from a gun locker and that Flores knew where the key was.
Flores is being held without bond and hasn’t been charged. He didn’t speak during a court appearance on Monday.
His lawyer declined to comment.
