DENVER | The Colorado Supreme Court will decide whether to hear arguments in a case that seeks to put a stop to the artist Christo’s plan to drape parts of the Arkansas River with translucent fabric.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1z0LKvT) the group Rags Over the Arkansas River says Colorado State Parks broke its own rules in 2011 when it rushed the project through approval a week before it merged with the Colorado Wildlife Commission, an agency that opposes the project.

An appellate court called the mix-up a “harmless error,” and found in favor of the parks department’s decision.

Over the River by the famed artist would install fabric above almost 6 miles of river between Salida and Cañon City.
