Greetings from an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia!
I am currently deployed in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE, directly supporting 24/7 intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance, as well as precision airpower operations against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant forces. I am fortunate to be a part of a great total force, joint and coalition team with outstanding interaction among all associated units and our host nation.
Recently we began execution of a “city plan” to expand and better utilize space in our American compound, as well prepare for increased mission and personnel growth.
Additionally, over the past few months we have worked diligently to balance work and relaxation, generating combat sorties to execute the Combined Forces Air Component commander’s priorities and allowing folks time to decompress and have fun on base and take advantage of historic and cultural trips.
Finally our units and private organizations continue to mentor personnel and create morale and recreation events to foster esprit de corps, unit pride and a positive and enjoyable environment.
I want to say hello to friends, co-workers and fellow warfighters back in Colorado and wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving with plenty food and great fellowship with family and friends!
