DENVER | A 42-year-old Brighton woman who embezzled $183,000 from her employer has been sentenced to six years in prison after her probation was revoked.

Miriam Yvonne Seader pleaded guilty to forgery for providing fake pay stubs and tax documents to her probation officer. Prosecutors say that between September 2013 to April 2014, she embezzled the money from Regent Power and Compression in Commerce City while working as a bookkeeper.

Seader, who was sentenced Monday, was required to provide the pay stubs and tax documents as part of her probation.
