Thirteen schools in the Aurora Public Schools and Cherry Creek School districts have received the Anti Defamation League’s “No Place for Hate” designation, a title that stresses tolerance, equality and non-violence.
Schools receive the ADL’s title after completing a year of workshops and activities that stress tolerance and highlight anti-bullying measures. The 2011-12 local inductees in the program include Aurora Frontier K-8, Aurora Hills Middle, Century Elementary, Columbia Middle, Dalton Elementary, Gateway High School, Grandview High School, Iowa Elementary, Murphy Creek K-8, North Middle School Health Sciences, Paris Elementary School, Rangeview High School and Vista PEAK.
