Aurora residents are invited to rid themselves of large household waste from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19 during Aurora Cleanup Day.

Roll-off Dumpsters will be available at the following sites:

• Lowry Park, 1001 N. Dayton St.

• Springhill Park, 800 Telluride St.

• Havana Machine, 840 S. Havana St.

• Utah Park, 1800 S. Peoria St.

• Olympic Park, 15775 E. Yale Ave.

• Aqua Vista Park, 18700 E. Wagon Trail Circle

The event is free to Aurora residents, who must show proof of residency with a driver’s license, utility bill or other ID with an Aurora address.

The following items will not be accepted: refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners or other items with Freon; large couches; construction debris such as concrete, sod, dirt, rocks and bricks; car parts such as tires; electronics; household chemicals and paint; and hazardous waste.

The city also is hosting an Electronics Recycling Event, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 5, at Central Facilities Recycling Drop-off, 13646 E. Ellsworth Ave., and the Household Chemical Roundup, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 12 at Aurora Central Facilities, 13645 E. Ellsworth Ave.
