AURORA | The City of Aurora is accepting mercury-containing devices such as barometers, jars and containers — as well as alkaline batteries — for safe and proper recycling from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Central Facilities Recycling Drop-off Center, 13646 E. Ellsworth Ave.

In addition, a limited amount of new air-quality gas cans will be available to those who trade in an old gas can, according to a city news release.  These are available courtesy of the Regional Air Quality Council on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Gas cans that are traded in must be empty.
