The zoo has experienced a few noteworthy disappearances in recent memory. Those include a North American river otter named Kitchi, who breached the zoo’s secondary fencing and has been at large since 2010; and a rare Indian star tortoise named Tutti, who zoo officials believe was stolen from an exhibit in 2011.
