Smoky Hill lost leading scorer Rickey Mitchell early in the 4th quarter and saw a five-point lead disappear in the closing minutes as the fifth-seeded Buffaloes dropped a hard-fought 77-71 contest to No. 4 Denver East Saturday at the Denver Coliseum.
