GREENWOOD VILLAGE | Grandview came away with both boys and girls titles at the annual Aurora City Championship track meet March 17 at Stutler Bowl.
The Wolves weren’t at full strength, but breezed to victory in the boys team standings — coming in 50 points in front of co-runners-up Overland and Gateway, while the girls had a healthy 33-point margin over second-place Cherokee Trail.
It was the second straight season in which Grandview won both team titles and the Wolves ruled the combined standings by 103.36 points over Cherokee Trail.
Only three individual athletes — all girls — won multiple city championships, as Rangeview’s Aya Brown took the 200 meters and long jump, Grandview’s Kaitlyn Mercer topped the 800 and 1,600 meters and Hinkley’s Evan West swept the throwing events.
Regis Jesuit again competed elsewhere.
