APRIL 2: The Smoky Hill baseball team scored eight times in the fifth and sixth innings to rally out of an early six-run hole to beat Cherokee Trail 8-6. Dylan McKee had three hits and winning pitcher Diego Velasquez and Colin Richey each drove in two runs for the Buffs, while Cade Simpson had three RBI for the Cougars. …The Grandview girls tennis team swept doubles and got a win from No. 1 singles player Olivia Stubbs to defeat Arapahoe 5-2 in a Centennial League dual match. The Wolves came off a fourth-place finish at the Western Slope Open. …The Grandview girls soccer team played to a 2-2 double-overtime tie with Arapahoe in a Centennial League showdown. Lacy Johnston and Shalom Prince scored for the Wolves, who couldn’t hold a two-goal lead. …The girls golf season finally got underway with the Grandview Invitational at Heritage Eagle Bend, with the host Wolves finishing on top of the team standings with seniors Morgan Ryan (2-under-par 70) and Amy Chitkoksoong (even par 72) leading the way, while Eaglecrest sophomore Emma Bryant debuted with a 3-under 69 to win the individual title.

MARCH 30: Yonas Mogos broke a 41-year-old school record in the 3,200 meter run for Gateway in a strong performance at the Lyons Invitational. …The Regis Jesuit baseball team won the consolation championship fo the IMG Tournament in Florida with a 10-3 victory over Baylor.  Caden Wagner doubled, tripled and drove in two runs to lead the Raiders. …The Grandview boys lacrosse team downed Rock Canyon 11-10 in a thriller that saw junior Jack McGahey score five goals (including a behind-the-back shot).

MARCH 27: Regis Jesuit senior Fran Belibi scored six points and pulled down 10 rebounds for Team West in an 83-68 loss to Team East in the McDonald’s All-American Game.
