AURORA | A look at the games, tournaments and happenings in Aurora prep sports scheduled for Jan. 14-20, 2016:

Wrestling meets of all sorts take place Jan. 14, including Grandview playing host to Cherokee Trail in a battle of Centennial League rivals set to begin at 7 p.m. Smoky Hill visits Rangeview in a non-league all-Aurora dual meet, while Aurora Central is the site of a triangular with Hinkley and Northglenn at 5 p.m.

EMAC girls swim meets make up much of the schedule for Jan. 14, highlighted by Rangeview paying a visit to Brighton at 4:30 p.m. In Aurora, Hinkley plays host to Northglenn and Gateway is also in its home pool against Westminster.

An ice hockey doubleheader is in store at the Family Sports Center Jan. 15, as Regis Jesuit and the Cherry Creek co-op team — both still undefeated — play back-to-back. The Raiders open the twinbill at 5:45 p.m. against Chafield, while Cherry Creek, which had a game scheduled for Jan. 14, has an 8 p.m. puck drop against Standley Lake.

Centennial League boys basketball on Jan. 15 features four games in all, highlighted by Overland playing at Arapahoe and Eaglecrest playing host to Cherry Creek at 7 p.m. Cherokee Trail visits Mullen and Smoky Hill heads to Grandview to round out the slate.

The annual Smoky Hill Invitational girls swim meet is Jan. 16, with the host Buffaloes welcoming in a group of 12 other teams that also includes Cherokee Trail and Eaglecrest for the 25th edition of the event. Smoky Hill finished second last seasons. Prelims begin at 8:30 a.m., with finals slated for 5 p.m.

The Grandview wrestling team heads to the rugged Arvada West Invitational Jan. 16, as the Wolves take on a field that includes 5A No. 1 Pomona, No. 5 Ponderosa, No. 8 Grand Junction and 4A No. 4 Thompson Valley and No. 6 Discovery Canyon. Cherokee Trail heads to Rocky Mountain, Aurora Central, Overland and Smoky Hill compete in the Mulln Invitational, Eaglecrest and Hinkley visit Alameda and Vista PEAK is at Lyons.

The Regis Jesuit girls basketball team plays in the Great Rivers Shootout Jan. 16 as its heads to St. Louis for its second out of state tournament of the season. The Raiders play Incarnate Word Academy in their opener.
