CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. | The Regis Jesuit ice hockey team continues to shine at the USA Hockey National Championship tournament, as the Raiders won twice Saturday to earn a shot at a second straight national title.

Thomas Jahde put Regis Jesuit scored a goal just 1 minute, 3 seconds into their semifinal contest against Medina (Ohio) — a team it lost to 3-1 the previous day — and Jack Kilkenny added an insurance tally in the third period as the Raiders posted a 2-0 victory at the SFSAC Stadium Rink.

Goaltender Sam Harden made 25 saves to post a shutout for Regis Jesuit, which will play in the national title game at 8 a.m. Sunday against Santa Margarita, Calif. — an 8-4 winner over Waterloo, Iowa, in the other semifinal — at SFSAC Stadium Rink.

Earlier in the day, coach Dan Woodley’s Regis Jesuit team routed Brophy Prep (Ariz.) 7-1 in the quarterfinals.

Alec Aichinger had a hat trick in the victory, while Conner Wigton scored twice and Nolan Carothers and Connor Brennan also found the back of the net.

Brennan, Nathan Haas and Kilkenny each had two of the Raiders’ 12 assists and Harden saved 20 0f the 21 shots he faced.
