AURORA | In the blink of an eye Tuesday evening, the Regis Jesuit girls soccer team had all it needed to move on in the Class 5A girls soccer state playoffs.
Sophomore forward Karli Eheart put the Raiders on the scoreboard in the first minute of their postseason opener against visiting No. 20 Mountain Range and it would stand up the rest of the way in a 1-0 victory for coach Will Cropper’s team at Lou Kellogg Stadium.
Senior Natalie Baltizar had the assist on Eheart’s goal — her team-leading 15th of the season — and junior Emily Griffith stopped all six shots that came her way as Regis Jesuit move into the second round where No. 4 Broomfield awaits. The Eagles blanked No. 29 Grand Junction 4-0.
