WESTMINSTER | The second and final East Metro Athletic Conference Major girls golf tournament fell victim to weather April 24.

Due to snow and inclement conditions at the Hyland Hills G.C., the tournament was shifted back a week with a 10 a.m. opening time set for May 1.

Vista PEAK holds a 20-stroke lead as a team and senior Kyree Conaway is up seven strokes over sophomore teammate Kylie Severin in the individual standings.

The Bison appeared primed to play in the tournament following their victory in Monday’s Elizabeth Invitational at Spring Valley G.C.

The EMAC Major tournaments include teams from the Aurora-filled South Division (Vista PEAK, Rangeview, Gateway, Hinkley and Aurora Central) and teams from the North Division (Brighton, Prairie View, Thornton, Northglenn, Adams City and Westminster).

The final EMAC standings determine where each team plays in state qualifying regional tournaments save for Vista PEAK, which is set to play in the Class 4A Region 4 tournament at Highland Hills.

Based on their current position in the standings, here’s where Aurora’s 5A teams would be headed for regional play: Rangeview and Aurora Central to the Northern Regional at Collindale in Fort Collins, Gateway to the Western Regional at Fox Hollow G.C. and Hinkley to the Southern Regional at the Country Club of Colorado.
