AURORA | Carl Mattei’s “rebuilding” project seems to be going pretty well.

The Regis Jesuit girls basketball coach’s club put on a ready-for-prime time show Wednesday night, routing visiting Highlands Ranch 64-47 and taking the driver’s seat in the Continental League championship chase.
Junior Justine Hall had a game-high 21 points, junior Jordyn Molyneaux had a smooth 14, Diani Akigbogun had 12 and Kelsi Lidge 10 for the Raiders, who posted their most decisive all-time victory against the Falcons. Regis Jesuit improved to 17-1 overall and 6-0 in the Continental League.
Shelby Hickey and Kelsey Wainright had 13 points each for Highlands Ranch, which dropped to 14-4 overall and 5-1 in league play. The Falcons’ only other in-state loss came to Palmer on Dec. 5.
