DENVER | Filled with fouls and little rhythm, the Rangeview girls basketball team had little trouble winning its semifinal contest at the Manual Early Season Classic Friday afternoon.

The Raiders led for all but the first two minutes of their contest against host Manual at the Thunderdome, rolling to a 76-39 victory in a game bogged down by a combined 46 fouls that resulted in 61 free throw attempts.

Junior reserve Makaylee Jones drained four 3-pointers in the first half and finished with a game-high 21 points for coach Lamonte Weddle’s Rangeview team, which advanced to the championship game at 2:30 p.m. Saturday against Berthoud, a 61-49 winner over Ponderosa in the other semifinal.

Senior Tomarow Whitfield and junior Jaelin Jones also scored in double figures with 16 and 13 points, respectively, for the Raiders, who improved to 2-0 after downing Skyline in the tournament opener Thursday.
