AURORA | Two of the three most high-scoring offensive players from the Aurora area in the recently completed 2026 boys lacrosse season played their way to All-American honors.
Recently graduated Grandview senior attackman Mason Kelly and recently graduated Regis Jesuit senior midfield William Wilson were among 12 players from Colorado recognized as All-Americans by USA Lacrosse.
A four-year starter for the Grandview program, Kelly — who is headed to play collegiately at Rutgers — was one of only four players in Colorado (including two others who made the All-American list) to score more than 100 points for the season. With a combination of 62 goals (second-most in the state) and 43 assists, Kelly amassed 105 points to help coach Greg Mellinger’s team to a 10-7 record before a loss in the second round of the 5A playoffs.
Kelly was a member of the Colorado High School Activities Association’s 5A All-State first team and also had a spot on the 2026 Aurora Sentinel All-Aurora Boys Lacrosse Team (see story, here), which were also accolades earned by Wilson.
On a 15-3 Regis Jesuit team that scored the second-most goals of any team in Colorado — 267 in 18 games — Wilson finished second in point production. He led coach Ross Moscatelli’s Raiders with his 53 goals, while he added 33 assists for 86 points. Wilson is headed to the University of Massachusetts.
Two players from the Cherry Creek team that eliminated Regis Jesuit made the list along with one from Valor Christian, which defeated the Bruins in the 5A state title game. Arapahoe, Fairview, Legend and Mountain Vista also had at least one selection.
