Boys Golf: Rangeview rolls again in EMAC South tourney at Aurora Hills

118

AURORA| Thursday’s third EMAC South tournament of the season bore similar results to the first two.

In play at Aurora Hills Golf Course, Rangeview topped the team standings for the third straight time and Hinkley senior Daniel Del Real was at the top of the individual standings.

Del Real — who won the first South tournament, but didn’t finish the second one — finished in a tie for first with Rangeview’s Tyler Hayes as each shot 84. Hayes, freshman Raymond Simunjuntak and junior Dillon Joye gave the Raiders three of the top five individuals as they posted a team score of 362, well in front of runner-up Gateway (400).

The Olys were led by Cody Coldiron’s 90, while Aurora came in fourth with help from Marquinn McGary’s 91.

Hinkley had enough players to record a team score for the first time and finished fourth, five strokes behind Aurora Central and nine in front of fifth-place Adams City.

The fourth EMAC South tournament is Sept. 6 at Buffalo Run Golf Course, followed on Sept. 12 by the second EMAC major of the season at Hyland Hills Golf Course.
