AURORA | Rangeview cruised to victory in the first EMAC South Division tournament of the season Thursday at Springhill Golf Course.
Sophomore Raymond Simanjuntak shot a 9-over-par 73 to lead the way for the Raiders, who posted a four-player team score of 312, good enough for a comfortable margin ahead of runner-up Gateway.

Seniors Mitchell Votry (76) and Tyler Hayes (78) also had strong opening rounds for Rangeview, which also won the tournament last season. Simanjuntak improved by eight strokes from the previous season’s EMAC South Division tournament at Springhill, in which he and Votry tied for third.
Senior Cody Coldiron tied for fourth with his 80 for Gateway, which finished at 377.
Aurora Central was paced by senior Marquinn McGary’s 83.
Adams City had three players and Hinkley just one, so neither recorded a team score.
The teams head to Meadow Hills G.C. on Aug. 15 to play against the North Division in the first of the EMAC’s two major tournaments of the season.
