AURORA | Overland senior Nick Holmes has been unexpectedly cleared to play with the Trailblazers boys basketball team. Holmes was diagnosed with a treatable form of bone cancer prior to the season, which meant he would have to sit out the year to avoid injury. But a second biopsy revealed he had a non-cancerous condition instead and so he was cleared medically. Holmes planned to return to the Overland lineup for its Centennial League game at Arapahoe on Jan. 25, 2017.
