CENTENNIAL | Eaglecrest defended its home floor Saturday night with a 52-35 victory over Arvada West that put the second-seeded Raptors into Class 5A’s Sweet 16.

Coach John Olander’s Eaglecrest team withstood an outside shooting flurry by the 10th-seeded Wildcats and inched away in the second half, advancing to the quarterfinals for the x straight season.

TreShawn Wilford had 12 points, Rayjon Craig added 11 and Maurice Perez had 10 for the Raptors, who will play host to No. 3 Rangeview — a 60-54 winner over No. 6 Highlands Ranch — at 7 p.m. Wednesday with a berth in 5A’s Great 8 on the line.
