AURORA | For the first three quarters of Friday night’s non-league contest with Boulder, Grandview’s Logan Longo didn’t hit a single shot.

In the final quarter, plus overtime, the senior forward couldn’t seem to miss.

Longo beat the buzzer twice in the second half and his short baseline floater delivered a 63-61 home victory over the visiting Panthers, helping coach Michael Rogers improve to 2-0 as Grandview head coach.

Longo — who also nailed a 3-pointer in the final two seconds of regular to send the game to overtime — scored a team-high 16 points, Cooper Murphy added 12 and Jarred Burr and Andrew Joiner 11 apiece for the Wolves, who rallied from a 13-point deficit in the second half to drop the Panthers to 1-1.

Grandview connected on 12 3-pointers in the game, including four apiece for Longo and Murphy.

Garrett Turner scored a game-high 20 points for Boulder, but missed the front end of a 1-and-1 free throw opportunity that would have sealed the game for the Panthers with 9.8 seconds left in regulation. After the free throw miss, the Wolves rebounded and called time out before Longo hit the game-tying 3-pointer.

Leif Blessing added 13 points for the Panthers.
