Sentinel Colorado’s preps Blast from the Past image for Aug. 9, 2023, shows the jubilation of Enock Kenge (3) and teammate Andre Lavalle after the Hinkley boys soccer team’s 2-1 overtime victory over Rangeview in a Class 5A second round state playoff game on Nov. 1, 2017, at Aurora Public Schools Stadium. Kenge scored both goals for Hinkley in the game, including the winner just over five minutes into overtime off a hard pass from the wing from Lavelle to send coach Marcos Madera’s team into the next round (see story, here). It brought to an end a second deadlock between Hinkley and the Aurora Public Schools rival Raiders as the teams also played to a double-overtime tie in the regular season and were knotted at 1-1 in the playoff rematch on goals by Rangeview’s Braidon Nourse and Kenge. EMAC champion Hinkley advanced to the quarterfinals before it suffered a 4-1 loss to Fort Collins to end a 15-2-1 season. (File photo by Courtney Oakes/Sentinel Colorado)
