DENVER | The Class 5A Baseball Championship Series has been pushed back yet again by weather.

The Colorado High School Activities Association postponed games scheduled for Friday and Saturday to May 26-27 due to rain that fell overnight and continued Friday morning at All-City Field.

Game times will remain the same, as Aurora’s lone remaining team — No. 2 Grandview — plays No. 6 Mountain Vista in an elimination game at noon May 26, followed by a 2:30 p.m. contest between No. 5 Rock Canyon and No. 4 Chatfield, which owns a 3-0 record in the double-elimination tournament.

Winners of both games play at noon May 27 at All-City Field in a game that will decide the state championship if Chatfield beat Rock Canyon, or determine who will play one-loss Chatfield in a 2:30 p.m. winner-take-all contest.

Coach Dean Adams’ Grandview team rallied to knock out both Regis Jesuit and Monarch to reach the semifinals.
