Season highlights: Coach Robby Gabrielli’s Eaglecrest team finished the season 12-12 overall after making a ninth consecutive appearance in the Class 5A state playoffs and winning a first round game against Douglas County. McKenzie earned the Raptors only All-Centennial League first team selection by following up a strong sophomore season with an even better junior campaign that saw her average career-highs in scoring average (11.3 ppg), rebounds (6.3 rpg), steals (3.5 spg) and assists (2.8 apg), all of which led Eaglecrest. She played well against league and state champion Grandview as she had near double-doubles in both contests, while she helped the Raptors to a playoff victory with a 15-point, 8-rebound, 6-steal effort against Douglas County. McKenzie earned a spot in the A-Town All-Star Game for a second straight season and finished with 21 points in last season’s game, which was the second-most in the game.
