JAZLYNN O’ROY

School: Aurora Central High School

Year: Freshman

Height: 5-foot-11

2021-22 average: 11.5 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.2 blocks, 3.0 steals, 2.6 assists

Season highlights: Coach Joseph Hill’s Aurora Central team earned 11 wins — two more than during the coronavirus-shortened 2021 season — and some of the bump can be attributed to an influx of young talent. In her first varsity season, O’Roy was one of just two players from Aurora girls programs — Grandview star Lauren Betts was the other — to average a double-double as she contributed 11.5 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. The All-Colorado League first team selection recorded 14 double-doubles on the season and missed another by a single rebound as he led her team in rebounding and finished second in scoring average. Her 3.2 blocks and 2.6 assists also paced the Trojans, while she also chipped in three steals per contest. O’Roy is in the A-Town All-Star Game for the first time.

O’Roy vs. Aurora teams: vs. Overland (14 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks); vs. Hinkley (13 points, 11 rebounds, 5 blocks)
