2018-19 averages: 7.5 points, 3.3 assists, 2.5 steals
Season highlights: Though the roster turns over from year to year, the Grandview girls basketball team has been able to sustain recent success as new players adapt into its system. Johnson arrived last season and helped coach Josh Ulitzky’s team win a second straight Class 5A state championship and her return along with plenty of other veterans put them in a position to win another until it got away in the final seconds against Cherry Creek in the 5A final. Johnson played mostly as a reserve as a sophomore, but started primarily as a junior and gave the Wolves a steady, savvy presence in the backcourt. With more opportunities to score, she upped her average to 7.5 points per game, while she finished in a tie for a team-high in assists at 3.3 per contest in addition to 2.5 steals per game on her way to her first trip to the A-Town All-Star Game.
