ANGEL BROADUS

School: Rangeview High School

Year: Junior

Height: 5-foot-7

2017-18 averages: 15.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.6 steals, 1.2 assists per game

Season highlights: For a Rangeview team that got an influx of youth and got sometimes inconsistent contributions from young players, coach La Monte Weddle could count on Broadus to give the Raiders a big boost every night during their 12-13 season that included a first-round Class 5A state playoffs upset victory. The All-East Metro Athletic Conference first team selection led her team in scoring at 15.8 points per game — nearly three points more than her sophomore season — with a season-high of 27 points coming in a win over Adams City. Broadus fell off her tremendous rebounding pace of last season a bit, but still brought down 8.5 boards per contest and turned in seven double-doubles. She also contributed 2.6 steals per game to pace Rangeview and her 1.2 assists per contest were just 0.1 off the team lead. Broadus is a two-time A-Town All-Star Girls Game selection.

Broadus vs. Aurora teams: vs. Eaglecrest (17 points, 7 rebounds); vs. Overland (3 points, 9 rebounds); vs. Hinkley (21 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals); vs. Cherokee Trail (10 points, 11 rebounds); vs. Vista PEAK (22 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists); vs. Aurora Central (9 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals); vs. Gateway (19 points)
